Low Temperature Quantum Corrections to the Anomalous Hall Conductivity in Ultra-thin Fe Films

چکیده
In situ transport measurements on disordered polycrystalline Fe films reveal a logarithmic temperature dependence of the longitudinal Rxx and anomalous Hall Rxx resistances at low temperatures and a heretoforeunobserved scaling behavior in which the relative changes in Rxx and Rxy are found to be equal. Accordingly, the anomalous Hall conductivity is non-zero with a logarithmic temperature dependence that is believed to be a manifestation of quantum effects due to enhanced e-e interactions and magnetic scattering in itinerant ferromagnets.

Disorder and temperature dependence of the anomalous Hall effect in thin ferromagnetic films: Microscopic model
We consider the anomalous Hall AH effect in thin disordered ferromagnetic films. Using a microscopic model of electrons in a random potential of identical impurities including spin-orbit coupling, we develop a general formulation for strong, finite range impurity scattering. Explicit calculations are done within a short range but strong impurity scattering to obtain AH conductivities for both t...
متن کاملStudy of Photo-Conductivity in MoS2 Thin Films Grown in Low-Temperature Aqueous Solution Bath
An experimental study over the optical response of thin MoS2 films grownby chemical bath deposition (CBD) method is presented. As two important factors, theeffect of bath temperature and growth time are considered on the photocurrentgeneration in the grown samples. The results show that increasing the growth time leadsto better optical response and higher difference betw...
متن کاملOrigin of the low critical observing temperature of the quantum anomalous Hall effect in V-doped (Bi, Sb)2Te3 film
The experimental realization of the quantum anomalous Hall (QAH) effect in magnetically-doped (Bi, Sb)2Te3 films stands out as a landmark of modern condensed matter physics. However, ultra-low temperatures down to few tens of mK are needed to reach the quantization of Hall resistance, which is two orders of magnitude lower than the ferromagnetic phase transition temperature of the films. Here, ...
متن کاملDiscovery of Intrinsic Quantum Anomalous Hall Effect in Organic Mn-DCA Lattice
The quantum anomalous Hall (QAH) phase is a novel topological state of matter characterized by a nonzero quantized Hall conductivity without an external magnetic field. The realizations of QAH effect, however, are experimentally challengeable. Based on ab initio calculations, here we propose an intrinsic QAH phase in Mn−dicyanoanthracene (DCA) Kagome lattice. The nontrivial topology in Kagome b...
متن کاملInfluence of Thickness and Number of Silver Layers in the Electrical and Optical Properties of ZnO/Ag/ZnO/Ag/ZnO ultra-Thin Films Deposited on the Glass for Low-Emissivity Applications
We report on transparent ZnO/Ag/ZnO and ZnO/Ag/ZnO/Ag/ZnO thin-films were deposited on the glass substrate by RF and DC sputtering for ZnO and Ag targets, respectively. The electrical and optical properties of the single and double Low Emissivity coatings were investigated with respect to the deposition time of Ag mid layer. The visible transmittance remains about 65% for single and 45% for...
